Tips on studying in the UK

What’s it like to live in the UK?

We know that moving to a different country to study is exciting, but quite often students also feel a little bit nervous as they prepare to leave their home. This is perfectly normal and we will definitely do all we can to help you settle in to living in the UK.

The British Council have created ‘Education UK that will give you great insight into what you can expect from life in the UK.

How will I meet people and make friends?

It won’t take you long before you are accustomed to your new life here and have made friends but whilst you settle in, we will organise events designed to help you meet your course mates and build friendships. There are also lots of societies you can join to meet people with similar interests to you.

Will I be able to find food from my home country?

The UK is a multicultural country and you will find local shops will sell most things you will need. If you can’t find what you’re looking for locally then some of the larger supermarkets stock a wider range of international products. There are also restaurants serving cuisine from around the world so if you’re looking for a something to remind you of home you’ll be able to find the right thing.
