Start your study journey at the University of Huddersfield International Study Centre. Here you will find pathway programmes expertly designed to help international students like you thrive at the University of Huddersfield, where 93% of the University of Huddersfield undergraduate students and 94% of postgraduate students go on to work and/or further study within fifteen months of graduating.*  

The International Foundation Year prepares students for the first year of an undergraduate degree. It is designed for students who need to strengthen their subject knowledge, English language skills or academic study skills before starting university. Students study core academic modules related to their chosen degree while developing skills such as academic writing, research and critical thinking. 

After successfully completing the programme and meeting progression requirements, you can progress to year one of your chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Huddersfield. 

The International Year One allows students to begin their degree while receiving additional academic support. Students study modules equivalent to the first year of a university degree, while developing the academic and language skills needed for university study. 

After successful completion of the International Year One, you progress directly to year two of their undergraduate degree, with no extra time added to your studies. 

The Pre-Master’s Programme prepares students for postgraduate study. During the programme, you develop advanced academic skills such as research methods, critical thinking and academic writing while improving your English language ability. 

Once the programme is successfully completed, you can progress to your chosen master’s degree at the University of Huddersfield, the top 10 university in England for the number of students going on placement (HESA 2023/24. Includes full year and shorter placements).
