What can you study?

Whether you are interested in creative arts, computing, engineering or business, there is a programme at the International Study Centre to suit you. Each programme will raise your academic skills, English language level and study skills to help you prepare for your chosen degree at the University of Huddersfield.

Each programme has a number of routes with modules designed to focus on the academic area most useful to your chosen degree. Once you complete the programme and achieve the required grades, you can start your degree at the University.

Our pathway programmes are a great way to prepare for university study and offer unique modules and courses for international students. University pathways will focus on your academic knowledge and English language skills and you will study subject-specific modules alongside your core modules.

If you are not sure which international programme is right for you, we can help you decide. A good starting point is to consider your age, education, grades, English language level and your university and career aspirations and goals.

Why join our November intake?

Join us in November and stay on track to progress to your degree at the same time as originally planned.

By taking our November intake you will benefit from five additional weeks of activities before the start of your academic studies at no additional cost.

Key highlights include:

  • Full enrichment programme - daily online enrichment classes.
  • Live tutor classes - 15 hours of live teaching per week.
  • Social activities - daily breakfast club during induction week and a programme of social events and activities to join every day.
  • Practical project skills - exciting 20+ hour project to apply skills in a real-life context, with tutor guidance.

  • All of this allows you to get a head start in applying skills in real-life projects, receiving support at settling in at university and in the UK and making friends by joining a series of social events. You will also be fully prepared to start your academic modules from January.

Due to the nature of the additional activities offered at the beginning of these November intakes, students will be expected to be in country and ready to start their studies on campus at the start of the programme.

Please note: the November start date is not available for Pre-Master's students.
