The International Study Centre and the University of Huddersfield celebrated the 2017/18 cohort of students who have progressed to study at the University. Hosted by Linda McKeon, the Head of Centre, and Stephen Zimmer, the Deputy Head of Centre, the event awarded successful students for their achievements since arriving in Huddersfield.
More than 150 students earned a Letter of Commendation or a Letter of Merit for their achievements, awarded by key members of staff.
Dave Taylor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, International of the University of Huddersfield, congratulated everyone saying: "I have seen more than 2,000 students come through our International Study Centre in the past 10 years. They are some of the most successful international students in our university."
Students at the event had the opportunity to dress up in graduation gowns to celebrate their progression to University. The event also featured activities such as a gif photo booth, feedback board and interactive map.
As well as the progression event, the International Study Centre is also celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the International Study Centre with a joint scholarship from the University and the Centre. The scholarship offers the opportunity for up to £10,000 off tuition fees over the course of your studies.
