We are a proud to announce that the University of Huddersfield has been awarded the highest accolade in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), a new scheme that rewards and recognises teaching excellence.
Newly established by the UK government, the TEF awards are judged by an independent panel of academics, students and employers. The panel reviews national data alongside evidence submitted by the university.

In the words of the TEF panel, teaching at the University of Huddersfield “is consistently outstanding and of the highest quality found in the UK Higher Education Sector”.
The panel was impressed by the University’s strong commitment to individualised learning support and rapid feedback on coursework. Other areas of excellence identified include the University of Huddersfield’s highly qualified staff and the work-relevance of its courses.
Responding to the good news, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Huddersfield, Professor Bob Cryan said: “It shows that our strategy to provide top-class teaching, facilities and student support has come to triumphant fruition. This award confirms that we are among the elite as a teaching institution.”
